Alice Kim kindly shared this New Year Post from her new blog: NOT2WO - Die Another Day with us, then also offered the"sequel" - Journey to the Edge of My Mind http://www.zenmoments.org/journey-to-the-edge-of-my-mind/

We were delighted - she writes in such a clear and accessible style, about her own experiences and how they relate to her understanding of Buddhist teachings. I asked her if she teaches herself - she obviously really knows her stuff - her approach reminds me a bit of Alan's - very rooted in her experience of everyday reality.
She wrote that she's "a new student to the Dharma and have only been practising for a few years. However, I do study intensively, and formally, and have become quite "book-smart" about the views and concepts - but of course, that means nothing without direct experience of the teachings, and that will take much more time and practice."
